Swimming pools need to maintained daily so that you can retain that beautiful and clean look that your pool deserve. But swimming pools can be a bit expensive to maintain most especially with regards to the water replacement as well as the various other repairs who may have to make. But there are still a few things that you can try which can still be effective but will be a fraction of the cost of professional maintenance.

Above ground pools have different types of maintenance work and some can be done weekly while others can be done monthly but probably the most important is the balancing of the water in your pool. There should be a perfect balance with regards to the pH, chlorine, as well as the alkalinity. Also, sand filters must always be present in your above ground pools. Common filters will generally filter 20-100 micron size particles from your pool. Back flushing of these filters must be done weekly.

Pool maintenance would also mean removing the algae that occasionally grow at the sides of your pool. So you will need to scrape them off with a gentle scraper to prevent scratches on your pool tiles. Even though pools need a lot of maintenance, you get a helluva lot in return.
